Pro-Ject Waimate is an incorporated society set up in 1994, initally under the main street programme with the objectives to "realise the value of Waimate's existing resources and to facilitate the development, progress and employment opportunities in the future".
We do this through working with other organisations to promote positive change, improving the towns appearance, capatilising on the unique character of Waimate and supporting local businesses.

Pro-Ject Waimate is funded through subscriptions from the local business community and a grant from the Waimate District Council.
A committee is elected annually and runs the organisation, a part time co-ordinator is employed to carry out their vision.
